...And We're Off!

It feels surreal to be writing this, but the day is here! Our bags are packed, the to-do list done, and the goodbyes have been said. Don’t ask us how, but we whittled down our belongings into two small suitcases to take us around the world for the next 3.5 months. I’m sure we’ll be looking for lots of laundromats on the road ;)
There are lots of big emotions today as we head to the airport-- anticipation, excitement, nerves, fear, sadness to leave the kitty. But mostly excitement! There’s something very freeing about loosening the grip on life and making space for the unknown.
Below I'm including a short poem I keep coming back to, originally sent to me by my good friend Julie O'Toole. It's been a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding me that fear and excitement often walk hand in hand.
So here’s to the adventure ahead— New Zealand, we’re coming for you!
